Caroline Twigg is head of collaborative R&D projects and international work at the Future Cities Catapult. Future Cities Catapult is an urban innovation centre that helps the UK develop products and services that make cities around the world better places to live in. Caroline oversees the Catapult’s involvement in collaborative R&D projects, working with colleagues to bring UK, EU and international funding into the Catapult and into the UK. She also oversees the international expansion of the Catapult’s CR&D work, helping take UK expertise to rapidly developing cities in Asia and South America. She joined the Catapult October 2013 after 3 years in Delhi and 4 in Geneva working on sustainability with big business for WBCSD. Prior to that she was based in London at a CSR consultancy.
She has written a Do Short on corporate sustainability in India, has been published in the Guardian, and in mid-2015 crowd-funded £11.5k to develop a children’s book on grief which is currently a work in progress. She moved to Bristol in June 2015 and tries to spend as much time outside as possible, including cycling, hiking, sailing, swimming, and camping.
