Trigger are looking for puppeteers and performers to be part of a large scale performance event and will be holding auditions on 28 May 2019. You would be working with one of the original puppetry directors of War Horse to develop a brand new large-scale site specific production.

The event is a major new site specific work programmed as part of Mayflower 400 in Plymouth 2020. The creative team include puppet director of War Horse, Mervyn Millar, a kite world champion flier and set designer for Bjork, Carl Robertshaw, Artistic Director Angie Bualand producers Trigger.

The company are entering a rehearsal period in Plymouth week commencing 12 August 2019.

This opportunity is for any actor, puppeteer, physical theatre, circus performer or dancer that wants to perform with Trigger. Experience with large scale puppets is useful but not essential. We encourage performers from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds.

You will have:

  • a love of puppets / or a desire to try something new
  • willingness to improvise and create responsive performance
  • willingness to work hard and muck in
  • excitement about being part of a small but dedicated team
  • an interest in creating and devising new work
  • enthusiasm for Plymouth and touring
  • have a sense of humour
