Tessa Bide Productions is an award-winning theatre company directed by Tessa Bide. Based in Bristol, we create theatre for children which unites families, offering an engaging and stimulating theatrical experience for both adults and children. You might meet us in a traditional theatre setting or in the middle of a field. We aim to inspire communities who may not have access to theatre with topical stories, a bold physical language and a few puppets along the way. TBP put children at the heart of our work, from devising through to presentation. We encourage creativity, inclusive play and a sense of adventure.

We tour our productions all over the world as well as leading outreach work to all ages, from early years to degree students and professional practitioners.

Our current project, in partnership with Pervasive Media Studios, Bristol Old Vic and Grief Encounter South West, is 'Bob'. Using ground breaking interactive live projections, light manipulation, movement and sound, Bob will be a 50 minute piece performed by two Japanese movement artists and a puppeteer, exploring bereavement and loss in a playful, accessible and truthful way for young people. The project is piloting the use of the innovative MiMu gloves for the first time to create character and manipulate light. For more info, go to https://tessabide.com/shows/bob/
