Cannes Film festival is perhaps the greatest of international film festivals, imbued with the very essence of cinematic glamour via the star studded red carpet. However, away from the glitz, the other side of the festival is a serious showcase of new films from established directors and new and emerging talent, offering a broad reaching sense through hundreds of new titles of what is hapenning in the world of cinema today.

Mark Cosgrove, Watershed Cinema Curator, is at the festival to get
an overview of the range of fims coming up, and to think about how the ideas and debates on offer could connect with Watershed audiences over the next 18 - 24 months, in order to offer a continuing cinematic voyage of discovery and exploration into the world around us.
