Young people - get networking and nominating with Rife Magazine

Rife Magazine, our very own in-house online platform for young people, has loads of exciting opportunities for you right now. Check them out below and get involved - in one, two, or all three!

24 under 24
Nominations are still open for our prestigious annual list of amazing under 24s. We want to know about each and every incredible under-24 in Bristol so we can put twenty-four of them front and centre on our annual list of eye-popping emerging talent. Know someone that’s a shining example of Bristol’s brilliance? Great! Find out how to nominate over on the website.

The Link
We have two of our networking events especially for young creatives in Bristol coming up this Autumn:

On Tue 25 Sept, head over to The Station on Silver Street where filmmaking experts will be sharing their top tips on how to make it in a tough industry. This event has been created in collaboration with Encounters Film Festival, and there will be loads of other young creatives to meet there too - who knows where your ideas will take you together? Get all the info here.

On Thu 8 Nov, we’ll be presenting another The Link event in collaboration with KIN over at Arnolfini. This time, we’ll be featuring a few of our 24 under 24 (mentioned above - get your nominations in now). They’ll be speaking at the event - come and slurp up some inspiration for your own endeavours from them, and who knows… maybe you’ll feature next year! Here’s more information.

BFI Film Academy
No matter your background, qualifications or experience, if you’re aged 16-19, the Bristol BFI Film Academy is your chance to get an insider’s perspective on what it’s like to work in the film industry - from writing scripts to getting films to the cinema screen. The course runs from December 2018 to March 2019 (one evening a week and some weekends, term-time only), and applications are open now. Sign up now!
