Fun Palaces are popping up all over the country on the weekend of the 4th and 5th October 2014. There’s art, there’s science, and everyone can make one happen.

"Choose what you want to do...dance, talk or be lifted up to where you can see how other people make things work. Sit out over space with a drink and tune in to what's happening elsewhere in the city. Try starting a riot or beginning a painting - or just lie back and stare at the sky"  - Joan Littlewood and Cedric Price on their vision for the Fun Palace

Intrigued? Want to find out more? Think it might be something that would work in your community? Then come and join the Fun Palaces team for a cup of tea, a chat and a celebration as we gather around the country to share ideas, advice and possibilities for fun with everyone who is making, would like to make, or just wants to know more about Fun Palaces.

The team behind this national event will be in Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio on 22nd July from 18:00 – 20:00 to answer any questions you might have about getting involved. It is an opportunity to share ideas, resources and experience, ask questions and get excited.

It is all very informal, so you can just drop in and say hello, or stay for the duration. If you can, please do RSVP to the Fun Palace team directly here:

Don’t forget that there’s still time to contribute your ideas to Watershed’s Fun Palace. If you would like to collaborate with us, then please get in touch either via our interactive suggestion box or by email: jess.hoare@watershed.co.uk
