ARE YOU A… maker, thinker, backyard shed inventor? An ideas person? A craftsperson, a sewer, a baker? A DIY enthusiast? An optimist?

Artists Ella Good and Nicki Kent are looking for people to help build A Martian House in the middle of Bristol City Center. It will be a real life house that invites the public to step inside and explore what life might be like in the future.

We are looking for a group of people to help make some household appliances for our Martian House. We’re thinking about using what’s around you, closed loop systems, economical living, re-imagining daily life.

In this group we will be learning together. If you’re not an expert but really want to have a go, then you are who we’re looking for.

We might be working on sewing Martian clothes, or plumbing, or electronics for a pedal-powered washing machine - we don’t know what we’ll make yet - we’ll decide together and see what is possible.

What can we do together? How can we contribute to building our own futures?

First session includes a short talk and initial discussion. Come along to see if you want to join. Book a FREE ticket:
