Jo Reid is one of the founders & MD of leading digital technology agency Calvium. Bristol-based, the team at Calvium have been developing mobile innovations since 2009. One of the very first residents at Pervasive Media Studios, Calvium have worked with organisations such as Historic Royal Palaces and National Gallery, and with their expertise in Digital Placemaking, have recently launched the new Place Experience Platform. Jo has over 25 years experience in the tech industry, working for Hewlett Packard Laboratories,Texas Instruments and Xerox.This Lunchtime Talk will be broadcast live on Watershed's YouTube channel.
The concept of the world as a stage upon which anyone can play their virtual part has long been a vision of Calvium MD, Jo Reid. Whilst aspects of that vision have become a reality, production costs still prevent it becoming ubiquitous.
In this talk Jo shall reflect upon success and failure for a number of different platforms and consider whether the circular economy might offer an alternative funding model.
