In this Lunchtime Talk Studio Resident Tine Bech will discuss her work creating social interaction and colour in public spaces. More than ever, our shared public spaces and town centres have the opportunity for change. At a time of rapid reflection, we should ask what place can and should be in the future?
Pink Enchantment by Tine Bech Studio (2014-2021)
Using examples from her practice, Tine will share ideas on the importance of ‘visual invitation to social interaction’ and will explore how play encourages audiences to move from looking to active participation.
Tine will share 'This Place in Colour' a R&D digital project that will allow people to see the environment around them through colour, using a smartphone camera. It is an action research project that aims to give people a voice and a website & manifesto for place. It is also a tool to play and enable thoughts and feelings about place that sometimes can be hard to articulate.

Tine Bech is multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and lecturer with extensive practical and theoretical experience working with public art and designing for people, play and participation. She was born in Denmark, lives in London and Aarhus, and works internationally.
