Stormjar are an immersive horror studio based in Bath, UK by Creative Producer Sophie Shaw, a live immersive experience specialist and Creative Director James Wheale. They create omni-channel horror experiences for audiences to enjoy across immersive theatre and digital content. They are funded by Audience of the Future, Bristol + Bath Creative R + D Amplified Publishing, Arts Council England & WECA.This talk will be BSL Interpreted and will be held in the building and online! We are Stormjar, an immersive experience company founded in Autumn 2021 by Creative Producer Sophie Shaw, a live immersive experience specialist and Creative Director James Wheale, an innovation and experience design specialist. We are working in both digital and live entertainment exploring the future of the haunted house.
We have spent the past six months in research and development with Arts Council England, Bristol + Bath Creative R+D and Audience of the Future on starting a new business in the experiential sector and immersive horror. We will be sharing our learnings, insights and tools we’ve discovered along the way and how they will be informing our first experience. So hold onto the safety bar and keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times as we delve into immersive psychological horror experiences.

Directions:
The Lunchtime talks take place in the Pervasive Media Studio Event Space. To access the Studio, please go to the Main Watershed Box Office entrance and go upstairs to the Café Bar. Walk across the cafe bar, turn right and walk towards the double doors. Go through into the corridor and walk all the way down until you reach the Studio. A member of staff will sign you in, and check your ticket, if you have booked.
The Studio is wheelchair accessible, and the events space has a hearing loop. The last talk of every month is BSL interpreted.
