Make Shift Meetups are a space for early career creatives to come together in the Pervasive Media Studio on the first Tuesday evening of each month.

This is an opportunity to meet other creatives in the city, learn from established practitioners, exchange ideas and think about next steps in your creative career in a welcoming environment.

Each month we have a guest who works professionally in the creative industries who will speak about their work and can give advice. Guest speakers will be experts in their field, from VR filmmakers to finance managers, through to researchers and designers.

In April we are joined by independent creative producer Pilar Santelices, born in Santiago, Chile and currently living and working in Bristol.

Pilar is a founder of Arkollectiv'; an international performing arts production company born from the intersection of her MBA studies in Paris and her foundation as an actress , she is dedicated to crafting transformative experiences that transcend borders.

Beyond her professional projects, Pilar is deeply committed to her spiritual journey, drawing inspiration from various practices such as Tantra, Centering Prayer, and Theta Healing.

Pilar will draw on her extensive experience in collaborating with artists, companies and organisations internationally across a range of art forms to explore the challenges of being behind the scenes when creative producing, and to interrogate what makes a project 'successful', or in Pilar's own words "thinking about how a good producer is invisible!"
