Did you know that almost 50% of children lose interest in their new toys after only a week?

Join us at this family tester and co-creation session on Sunday 1st September from 10.30am at the Pervasive Media Studio (Watershed). Run by Animazing Toys, a Bristol-based entertainment company that aims to increase children’s engagement with animal soft toys through daily animated stories available from their website.

During these drop-in, 45-minute sessions, children and their families can play while sharing their thoughts and ideas around children’s toys and sustainability and Animazing Toy’s offerings.

In each session, there will be three Animazing Toy’s animations screenings. Each episode is less then 5 mins in duration, and we will be asking questions about what the children, and parents, think or do and don’t like about the characters and interaction. These videos encourage children to interact with animal soft toys while learning more about real animals, through cartoon children who live in the same country as the featured animal. Sunday sessions will particularly focus on African (bush) elephants. 

Children would be able to create a simple toy out of plasticine or other materials and/or borrow an animal-shaped soft toy. With these toys they will be able to interact with the Animazing Toy’s stories and experience this new approach to playing and exploring nature.

Age Guidance: This play experience is designed for children between 4 to 8 years old, but any children up to 12 years old are welcome. All children will need to be always accompanied by their parents and carers.

This is a free, drop-in workshop. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.
