8-14 year olds and their grown-ups are invited to a free workshop exploring ways we may communicate in the future by delving into crafting, sound and interactive technologies.

This playful workshop  invites attendees to get hands-on exploration of sound and technologies and to investigate the sonic world around them through sampling and editing sounds, building noisy buttons from everyday materials, to build interactive talking creatures.

Each group of young people must be accompanied by 1 adult, grown ups are encouraged to get stuck in too!

Tickets are available through the Watershed website .

The workshop will be hosted by Nat Whitney, an audio-visual participatory artist working with creative technologies to construct interactive, sensory objects and spaces that aim to invite curiosity and play.

They have recently completed a residency at Pervasive Media Studio exploring the evolution of communication technologies and how we may connect in future through creating interactive talking beings composed of electronic textiles.

They will be supported by Tony Bhajam, Producer at the PM Studio.

If you have any questions or if there's things we shoud know to help you and your young people to be comfortable during the session get in touch with him.
