Michael is a physicist on a mission to kick start the personal space age by giving everyone the opportunity to own their own spacecraft. He has created numerous open source projects to make this a reality during his time working on this concept at leading universities around the world. More than a hundred personal spacecraft have been launched by NASA as result of projects he created, with thousands more scheduled for launch by other ongoing projects. As well as spacecraft projects, Michael also creates infrastructure to support these missions, including mission design software, a global ground station network, mission control software, conferences and workshops thanks to support from academics, companies, individuals, non-profits, space agencies and other bodies in more than forty countries.
