Trigger is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Director, based in Plymouth, to direct the City Hall Debate as part of a major new site-specific work that is in development for Plymouth.
The creative team include puppet director of War Horse, Mervyn Millar, a kite world champion flier and set designer for Bjiork, Carl Robershaw, Artistic Director Angie Bual and producers Trigger.
In partnership with Arts Council England, Plymouth County Council, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Watershed this project fuses myth, legend, science, puppetry & aerodynamics into one unforgettable event, which will use the Hoe in Plymouth as its' stage.
The right person would have experience and interest in:
- Developing a script with real people (public), stakeholders, academics, politicians and more
- Experience of devising
- Working and developing dramaturgy
- Have a minimum of 3 years directing experience
This position is for a freelance director based in Plymouth with a total fee of £2,500.
