A Crash Course in Cloudspotting

No Bindings

A Crash Course in Cloudspotting asks you to connect with the subversive act of lying down. It’s about public rest and acts of bravery we don't see. About scaling the distances and depths of human connection. …

Five booklets of A Crash Course in Cloudspotting hang from yellow cords of material in the style of Literature de Cordel. The booklets are white with blue text or designs in their centre.

I'm interested in widening access for people with invisible impairments, challenging the etiquette of our public spaces and collectively re-imaging how we use our public space.

MAYK

MAYK is one of the country’s leading live performance producing organisations. Based in Bristol but working internationally, they create dynamic meeting points for participation in world-class live performance both in and out of traditional art spaces.

A Crash Course in Cloudspotting asks you to connect with the subversive act of lying down.

It’s about public rest and acts of bravery we don't see.
About scaling the distances and depths of human connection.

A Crash Course in Cloudspotting is conceived by Raquel Meseguer Zafe, commissioned by Unlimited, and produced by MAYK. The performance is part verbatim theatre, part meditation on rest, gravity and connection.

For this experience, you will receive a handmade booklet in the post, published by No Bindings. This booklet includes all you need to carve out a resting space. The experience is conceived as a break from the screen, and an invitation to connect with a small gathering of 21 audience members and 21 participants.

Expect a rare and intimate audio journey of fragile beauty, just for you.
