Gabby is one of Watershed Fellows in Residence as part of the MyWorld Ideas programme. She will spend ten months in residence at The Studio in Bath with the Fashion Museum from February 2024. This is a practice-based Fellowship exploring the digitisation of existing fashion assets and how these can be implemented within the digital realm. Gabby will work in collaboration with the stakeholders in order to choose a single dress from the Dress of the Year collection that will serve as a prism for the research.
I am thrilled to have been awarded the Dress of the Year fellowship in residence to investigate identity and fashion in digital worlds with the Fashion Museum of Bath. I am particularly interested in working with the communities that Watershed, Pervasive Media Studio and MyWorld engage with to research how digital assets can be co-created and then used to provide greater access to the fashion collection.
