Marcin Gawin

Marcin Gawin is an interdisciplinary artist using participatory performance, and multi-sensory stimuli to explore carnality, occultism, and queerness.


Marcin is a white, androgynous person with short blond hair. He is wearing black eyeliner, a ruffled dress and a chain with a padlock on his neck.

Marcin Gawin is an interdisciplinary artist using participatory performance, and multi-sensory stimuli to explore carnality, occultism, and queerness. His work is informed by the background in visual arts and growing up in Poland’s Spiritual Capital.

Since graduating in Fine Arts from University of Gloucestershire, in 2016, he completed Marina Abramovic’s Cleaning the House training in durational performance, and was a student under Martin O’Brien, Shabnam Shabazi and Joseph Morgan Schofield in The Sunday Skool for Misfits, Experimenters and Dissenters.

Some of the places where he presented his solo and participatory work are Modern Art Oxford; Terytoria Festiwal, Poland; People Republic's of Stokes Croft, Bristol and Oxford Brookes University, Oxford.
