Poppy

Poppy is a creative technologist, developing opensource tools and tutorials for making clothes. It's possible to 3D print shoes and see exactly how clothes will look and fit before making them, yet many DIY makers don’t know how. Poppy is creating resources to overcome these barriers. She is also helping to set up a textiles makerspace in Devon to see how a modern approach to making clothes could make community groups less reliant on mass production.

Poppy has a BSc in Product Design and an MA in Sustainable Design. Before moving to Bristol, she was a lecturer on the Digital Fabrications module at the University of Brighton and a director of BuildBrighton makerspace.
