Simone creates works at the intersection of moving image, object and sound art, diving into the oral history and archives of local communities.

The core of her vision is collaborative and she consistently exchanges with composers, sound artists, performers, writers and fellow visual artists to develop multidisciplinary work.

Her latest short film Blue Hour - shot on Dartmoor and in Bristol - continues to encircle her core themes sense of place, identity and the archiving of subjective memory.

With this residency, she currently sheds light on how coding can organically merge analogue and digital mediums and how it could be used to create more tangible and engaging multimedia archives.

In addition to her residency at Pervasive Media Studio, Simone is also a member of Bristol Experimental Expanded Film (BEEF) and particularly interested in supporting the South West’s artist moving image landscape.
