Sookie studied Animation Production at The Arts University Bournemouth and has previously interned at animation studios in Luxembourg and China as well as freelancing for several small studios in Bristol.
Working in such a multidisciplinary space at the Pervasive Media Studio has peaked her interest in creative technology. She has a huge curiosity around VR content and has volunteered several times at the VR World Congress in Bristol as well as being a research assistant for Limina Immersive during their VR Sessions at Watershed.
Last year she was chosen to direct Channel 4 Random Acts film Residue, which blends live-action with elements of animation to explore how traumatic experiences can be re-lived.
Sookie runs a monthly networking and screening event for people working in the animation industry Bring Your Own Animation Bristol.
Utilizing her creative background she designs artwork for special events, including designing the agenda for Making The City Playable Conference 2017 and creating infographics using statistics about the studio.
