Steve a sound artist, maker and performer known for an innovative series of sonic augmented reality projects titled 'aura' and as a member of the award winning Owl Project. As a fellow of the PRSFformusic New Music Plus scheme he has explored audience reactive performances - via mobile phone voting and controllable video projection. Recently Owl Project have been working with flint knappers; invesitgating their movements using camera and sensor augmented analog modular synthesisors then making music as the knapper creates a paleolithic hand-axe.

As a resident at the Pervasive Media Studio, Steve will be developing a new set of Mutual Instruments (musical interfaces that are designed to be played by more than one person) as well as wider multi-user music making installations. His Owl Project work will also come into play as they explore new aspects to their light based synthesisor project "Optikit' and multi-player light projecting sound project "Logpile" that recreates a social camp-fire atmosphere.
