A friendly conversation and check in for Black artists - and fellow artists who are also marginalised for their race - co-hosted by Pervasive Media Studio resident Ella Mesma.

Ella and Melanie Abrahams, both from Slate World UK, will be joined by guest artist Maya Chowdhry (a writer, theatre and technology artist/facilitator and life coach) to talk about online creativity and collaboration, including practical tips on using technology and issues around privacy.

The session will take place on Wed 29 April from 20:00 - 21:00 on Zoom. It’s free but you must book your place by emailing engagement@eclipsetheatre.org.uk.

About Maya Chowdhry
Maya Chowdhry is a Manchester- based artist who offers over three decades of writing and performance, visual art, cultural activism, practice-based research and projects that investigate and encourage participation and support for artists. She has an extensive knowledge in and experience of working with new technology and she uses it creatively and regularly in her work.

About Slate World
Slate World is transnational partnership promoting the visibility and mobility of Black artists, and fellow artists who are also marginalised for their race across Europe. Led by Eclipse Theatre with partners Theater De Meervaart, ICK Amsterdam and Teatro GRIOT, the two-year programme will open-up new potentials in programming, audience development, digitisation and cultural exchange. They are now in their final year.
