Please note: This event took place in Nov 2020

The future is bright, the future is adaptive. For this talk we are joined by Ian Forrester, Dr Penny Hay and James Cook who will be discussing the idea of adaptive podcasting, what it is and how it might shape the future of listening. They’ll also explain the technology, talk about some of the creative challenges it offers as well as some of the specific projects they are working on to connect young audiences to the natural world.

The project “Adaptive Podcasting” allows you to build and listen to adaptive podcasts which are unique to the listener and their context. The podcasts are built-in so its all done on a phone and all the data stays on the device.

Penny, Ian and James have been working together through the Bristol+Bath Creative R+D Expanded Performance pathfinder, exploring liveness and togetherness at the intersection of live music, theatre and technology.
