Creating New Narrative Corridors

Lunchtime Talks

Streaming + Live stream

Please note: This event took place in Feb 2021

For this Lunchtime Talk we are joined by Sharon Clark from Raucous, a Bristol-based collective of theatre makers, technologists and designers. They will be discussing how we might think about theatre in the light of lockdown.

During 2020, immersive theatre company Raucous embarked on fellowships with Bristol+Bath Creative Clusters and a development programme with Creative XR, re-examining how we might think about theatre in the context of the pandemic.

Sharon will ask; how will we continue to tell theatre stories when theatres are closed? How can we engage with audiences when they have to remain distanced at best, isolated at worst? What does Covid-19 teach us about the future of live performance, technology and augmented reality? Where might our creative curiosity take us? Sharon will also discuss the ideas that Raucous have tested, what they discovered and how it will influence the work they make in the future.
