Please note: This event took place in June 2021

In this online workshop for 18-30 year old creative freelancers Emma Blake Morsi and Joyann Boyce will help you explore purposeful branding.

The perfect combination between strategic and holistic, this workshop will explore the key aspects of developing yourself as a purposeful brand as well as how to maximise your digital marketing. We will be looking at your value system and how to theoretically apply it to your own projects using a marketing tool and exploring ways you can embed this within your practice.

In this workshop participants will:

  • Touch on the fundamentals of developing a purposeful brand, from exploring your own value system to how to develop a strategic network of collaborators and partners that align with your values.
  • Explore different offline and online marketing strategies through an ethical lens and useful tools to scope and deliver your projects with maximum impact.
  • Explore how to embed sustainable practices within your work.
  • Learn how to maximise your online presence to get the most out of your practice.

About Emma Blake Morsi:

Emma Blake Morsi is an award-winning Multi-disciplinary Producer, Non-executive Director of Rising Arts Agency and Bristol City Council’s Culture Board member. A prolific visual storyteller, she predominantly works across photography, words, graphics, film and events, and has been training as a creative intersectional environmentalist. Her research consisted of developing a sustainable circular system repurposing waste substances.

She previously lived in Germany as PUMA’s Global Creative Direction & Design intern, primarily shifting their work to authentically centre on representation and sustainability innovation. Also currently working for ethical marketing and PR agency Enviral as the Content and Partnerships Manager, Emma challenges approaches to inclusion and innovation in the spaces she works in, producing work that can be experienced by all but most importantly gives visibility to and engages those from marginalised groups.

About Joyann Boyce:

Joyann Boyce is a Inclusive Marketing Consultant and Founder of The Social Detail. The company works with small and medium sized companies within the technology sector to maximise their impact through social media. In her three years of running the agency, Joyann has placed data & inclusion at the heart of her approach to marketing, from idea to creation to reviewing and consumption.

Joyann is a fierce advocate for diversity and inclusion within marketing and tech. Seeing a gap in the stock photo market, she partnered with the SHIFT project to create a portfolio of diverse stock photography. The project was featured on the BBC.
