Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event ended on 12 April 2024

Dr Francesco Bentivegna and Katy Dadacz (current PhD) will share their upcoming project Queering AI, which is an exploration of artistic responses to the marginalisation of trans and queer folx surrounding the future of AI. They hope to shift boundaries and destabilise AI through the trans and queer experience of the world.

The talk will first introduce the context from which the project has arisen. They will then share past collaborations with Bristol-based artists, researchers, and our Studio residents.

These collaborations ask how we can create community-based practices centred around queer values when working with technology.

Lunchtime Talks are partly supported by MyWorld, a project led by the University of Bristol to support creative industries in the region.
