Bulgarian directing duo Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov's follow up to 2014's The Lesson is a social parable about a humble man who gets unwillingly promoted - then ultimately sacrificed.

When shambling, unassuming railway linesman Tzanko (Stefan Denolyubov) discovers millions on the train tracks, he notifies the authorities rather than pocketing the cash. Labelled the 'fool of the nation' by his co-workers, the Ministry of Transport, however, uses him as a political diversion - little do they know, however, that Tzanko suffers from a debilitating stutter and might not be a PR person's ideal TV personality. The relationship between them sets off a chain of events fuelled by bureaucratic indifference and avoidable consequences.

Winner of Best Film at Edinburgh Film Festival 2017, Glory is directed with wit and precision - a darkly comic look that suggests that glory isn't all it's trumped up to be.
