Paddy Considine follows up his directorial debut Tyrannosaur with this knockout story of a boxer forced to rebuild his life after a near-fatal brain injury.
Matty (Considine) is a middleweight boxing champion nearing the end of his career planning one last fight to secure a home for his wife (Jodie Whittaker) and baby daughter. But hours after the epic fight he collapses. Awaking from the coma, the real fight begins - memory loss, personality changes, unexpected bouts of violence - and Matty must try to piece together a new life as his world disintegrates.
A powerfully moving story of loss, identity and adversity (with stunning performances by Considine and Whittaker), Journeyman packs an emotional punch.
We are delighted that director Paddy Considine will be here for a Q&A after the Thu 29 March 18:15 screening
