Neon Dance presents Puzzle Creature
Lunchtime Talks
Please note: This event took place in April 2018
Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.
In this week's talk Artistic Director and choreographer Adrienne Hart of dance company Neon Dance will be sharing plans for her new work Puzzle Creature, inspired by the work of artist / architect duo Arakawa and Madeline Gins. She will reveal early stage designs for an accessible and immersive set, designed by award-winning design collective Numen. Adrienne will also explore and take a wider look at dance, architecture and music in the UK and Japan, alongside the pioneering work of Arakawa and Gins.
Puzzle Creature is set to premiere at Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial (Japan) in Sept 2018, so we are very excited to have a sneak preview before it tours the UK from Oct 2018.
