Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event took place in Jan 2019

Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.

Olivier award-winning Sound Designer, Simon Baker joins us for an informal discussion on Sound Design for theatre. Simon is part of Wise Children and an associate artist for both The Old Vic and Kneehigh Theatre. His designs include Matilda the Musical, Brief Encounter and Girl from The North Country.

Wise Children is a new theatre company conceived, created and led by multi award-winning director Emma Rice. They create landmark works with exceptional artists which challenge outmoded theatre touring models and with an emphasis on training the next generation of creative practitioners, and discovering the creative spaces of the future.

This Lunchtime Talk is part of Open Studio Friday, which takes place at the Studio every week.
