Inspire your filmmaking, support the next steps of your career, meet industry professionals and network with other young creatives in the return of our not-to-be-missed event for 15-24 year olds.

For only £5.00 you get an all day (12:30 - 19:00) pass giving you access to industry panels, short film programmes and networking events.

Whether you're a media student, YouTuber, starting out as a filmmaker, looking to get your first job or just love film - this event is for you.

Yero Timi-Biu - an award winning young writer/director - will also be hosting our networking session where you will have the chance to meet other young creatives and industry.

Here's an idea of what you can get involved in on the day:

New Creatives Screening and Talk
Hear about the exciting new initiative from the BBC and Arts Council, New Creatives, which will give young people aged 16-30 the chance to have work commissioned for BBC platforms. Calling the Shots the Bristol’s based production company running the initaitive will be telling you how to apply for the opportunity, the training available and showing shorts to get you inspired.

BFI NETWORK Screening and Panel
BFI NETWORK brings together the UK's film agencies to discover, develop and fund new and emerging writers, directors and producers. Watch shorts supported by the scheme and hear form directors and producers about how they worked together to develop their ideas for the big screen. Alice Cabanas from BFI NETWORK will also chat to Amrou Al-Kadhi, whose work focuses on the intersection of queer identity and race.

Made in Bristol
The city is home to hundreds of production companies and this will give you a chance to meet them. Hear from people working in roles from production management to VFX effects (from companies such as Marble Films, Icon Films, BBC Studios and Axis VFX) about what their job involves and what the routes are into the industry.

This event is supported by the BFI HUB South West and the BFI Film Academy.
