Three Colours Trilogy

Season

Please note : this season finished in April 2023

Liberté, égalité, fraternité

Krzysztof Kieślowski's award-winning trilogy explores the French Revolutionary ideals of freedom, equality and brotherhood, and their relevance to the contemporary world.

It is a snapshot of European life at a time of reconstruction after the Cold War, and the development of the European Union, reflected through the filmmaker's moralist view of human nature and illuminated by each title's palette colour.

30 years after the original release of the first film, we are excited to be bringing back all three films with a 4K restoration. Although each film can be watched as standalone pieces, the storylines and themes from Blue and White weave themselves into a culmination of Red - which was Kieślowski's very last film. An unmissable tricolour of cinema.
