Following his stunning cinematography work on Beyoncé's Lemonade, photographer Khalik Allah turns to directing with this lyrical and haunting meditation on Jamaica and Jamaican identity.
Part film, part baptism, Allah brings us on a powerful exploration through Jamaica, his mother's home. Soaking up its bustling metropolises and tranquil countryside, he weaves the voices of Jamaica - the prostitutes, faith healers, and old timers - into a mesmerising tapestry. Immersed into the sacred, the profane, and everything in-between, Allah creates a wondrous mosaic reflecting the natural, spiritual and cultural fabric of contemporary Jamaica in all its glory.
