On Mon 14 Dec from 5-7pm, the Pervasive Media Studio is hosting a workshop for Facts4Life, a health awareness programme in South Gloucestershire set up by Dr Hugh Van Huff. Facts4Life are applying for European funding in collaboration with UWE to prototype a mobile game that will develop young people’s awareness of healthy lifestyle choices.
The workshop at the Pervasive Media Studio will:
* present a broad outline of the themes of the game
* explore the technical possibilities afforded by various gps related
software/hardware out there eg Nokia Sports Tracker, Map My Run, Nintendo
DS, Android, etc etc etc
* develop ideas around what is and isn’t feasible for the Facts4Life team
to develop in the pilot phase
