Andrea Hasselager is joining us within our Graduate/New Talent scheme. She is a graduate from the IT University of Copenhagen and CEO of play&grow, a company dedicated to games which encourage the player to reflect, act and grow. Andrea has already created Prince$$ of the Hood, a 3D single-player game for young women, which addressed the topic of over-consuming fashion brands.

During her residency, Andrea is working on Happiness, an alternate reality game (ARG) about human trafficking. The game is targeted to 14 to 15-year olds and involves different forms of media.

Andrea’s background lies in advertising and game design. She was a copywriter at Young & Rubicam, worked for Leo Burnett, Copenhagen and graduated from Miami Advertising School. She describes herself as a true ‘safe the world person’ interested in creating new media and guerrilla advertising.

Andrea is speaking within our Lunchtime Talks, a series of informal presentations by Studio residents. Lunchtime Talks normally take place at 1pm during Open Studio Friday. The event is free and open to all.
