Live-stream and collaborative open space discussions with Northern Stage, Newcastle

On Wed 29 June, Watershed is partnering with Stronger Together
to host a live-stream and offer the opportunity for South West-based
cultural organisations to participate in a national conversation on
collaboration, sharing and working in partnership.

Aimed at artists, producers, curators, facilitators, activists and
strategists, this afternoon of creative thinking is produced by Northern
Stage and Pilot Theatre and offers a great opportunity to inform
cultural policy, stimulate debate, share experience and meet future
collaborators.

Live from Northern Stage in Newcastle, we will be provoked, motivated and challenged by speakers including Kate McGrath (Fuel), Katherine Zeserson (Sing Up/ The Sage Gateshead), Alan Lane (SlungLow), Maria Balshaw (Whitworth and Manchester Galleries) Lyn Gardner (Guardian Theatre Critic) and Streetwise Opera.

The event will include: curated conversations with collaborators from
the cultural sector and beyond; Case-studies of ambitious strategic
partnerships; and the opportunity to ask questions and spark debate as
part of the open space ethos.

Areas explored will include: Are we prepared to give up some individual
autonomy in order to innovate together? How do we shift the debate from
efficiencies to sustained creative action? What models of collaboration
and sharing can we celebrate and learn from? Is there a limit to the
value of working together?

Participants at Watershed will discuss and debate the issues alongside
partners in Newcastle and Manchester and feedback thinking via the live
stream.

This is a free event, but tickets must be booked through the Watershed box office: 0117 927 5100 or website: http://www.watershed.co.uk/exhibits/2960/
