How do we reboot the approach to building successful smart cities?

Future Cities Catapult Chief Innovation and Technology Officer Jarmo Eskelinen joins us to unpack the successes and challenges around smart cities and to share some global examples. Future Cities Catapult accelerate urban ideas to market, to grow the economy and make cities better. The Catapult brings together businesses, universities and city leaders so that they can work with each other to solve the problems that cities face. Originally trained as an architect, Jarmo is an expert in smart cities. During this Lunchtime Talk. Jarmo will discuss the importance of global collaboration and cross-pollination, and ask the question - what’s next?

Lunchtime Talks are informal presentations by Studio residents and associates. They normally take place at 1pm on Friday, are free and open to everybody who’s interested in what we do.

After the Talk, we also invite you to stay with us for the afternoon to continue the conversation or work on your own projects. We provide chairs, tables, wireless and a great space. You bring what you need to work with (laptop/mobile). Our open afternoons close at 5pm.
