It's 2024 and we need better stories. Ones that crash out of screens, crawl off of pages and wriggle out of VR headsets, in order to play with the full fleshy, interrelational and material nature of experience.

Dr Rosie Poebright - who has been creating screenless interactive story experiences as the Creative Director of Splash & Ripple for 15 years - calls these Wild Stories. In this talk they'll describe some of their key findings from 5 years of practice based artist PhD research, exploring the fields of neuroscience, philosophy and anthropology.

Hinting at a new screen-usurping paradigm for storytelling in the digital age - one that speaks to aliveness - and enables audiences to play with new perspectives and realities, changing them and their worlds in the process.

Join Rosie as they attempt to squish down many years worth of insight and research in 40 mins, and call storytellers to action to create more messy, surprising and undoing stories for their audiences.

Join us online on YouTube Live, or in the building on Friday 4th October 2024 at 1pm for the talk and to take part in the Q and A discussion afterwards.
