Developing bespoke creative tools for specific groups of people requires the inclusion of these groups from the outset. This philosophy of co-design is one that can be hugely beneficial to all involved but one that also comes with limitations. In this talk, Greg Ryan will explore the best practices and common pitfalls of co-design through reflections and case studies on some successful (and some not-so-successful) past projects.

Greg is an award winning creative facilitator, composer and multi-instrumentalist who, for the last 10 years, has designed products as part of immersive collaborative projects with young people. Greg leads pyka_workshop and has worked in over 250 schools alongside clients including Tate, Shakespeare’s Globe, Wales Millennium Centre and London Symphony Orchestra. He was also part of Watershed’s More Than A.I. Sandbox project, running R&D to build musical instruments using access first design philosophies.

Join us online on YouTube Live, or in the building on Friday 25th April 2025 at 1pm for the talk and to take part in the Q and A discussion afterwards.
