In this musical workshop with artist Ant Nasce for young people aged 8-14 and their grown-ups we will experiment, play with, and explore with some technology and software used to make electronic music — as well as explore what it takes to make a whole musical track from scratch.

About Ant

Ant Nasce is an audiovisual tinkerer and synth enthusiast. A resident of the Pervasive Media Studio, he’s developing spatial musical instruments that add new dimensions to performance and play. His work invites people to (re)discover the joy of making music and sound together.

In 2018, Ant co-founded We All Play Synth, a Bristol-based open mic night for live electronic music, where artists can experiment, perform and collaborate.

Our family workshops are made possible with our partners in the Pervasive Media Studio, which are the University of Bristol and UWE Bristol.

Family workshops take place in the Pervasive Media Studio Event Space. To access the Studio, please go to the Main Watershed Box Office entrance and go upstairs to the Café & Bar. Walk across the cafe bar, turn right and walk towards the double doors. Go through into the corridor and walk all the way down until you reach the Studio. A member of staff will sign you in, and check your ticket, if you have booked.

The Studio is wheelchair accessible, and the events space has a hearing loop.
