Take a look at my PhD research on my open GitHub repository here. Eriol's PhD thesis was centred on how Designers contribute to Humanitarian and Human Rights related Open Source Software at Open Lab Newcastle and funded by Northern Bridge Consortium.  They are looking for a new academic institution that would be a home for this kind of research.

After discovering a love for Free and Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS or OSS) Eriol started contributing as a Designer to OSS projects. Most notably at Open Source Design as a core team member/maintainer. Eriol travels to Open Source and Design conferences worldwide to speak about how design and designers can be integrated into OSS. See a Youtube playlist of conference talks.

You can find Eriol online as @erioldoesdesign on various social media and networking sites, primarily bluesky and the Mastodon Hachyderm server. Eriol sometimes stream's work and OSS contribution over on Twitch and uploads the videos over on Youtube post streams.
