We intend to explore this question by creating Another Pastoral, a publication that intersects print, audio and archiving in order to change the canon of nature writing through the visibility, connection and publication of narratives from Black people and People of Colour in the UK.
Another Pastoral is a collaboration between No Bindings and poet Tjawangwa Dema, winner of the Sillerman Prize for African Poetry and co-director of the Africa Writes Bristol literature festival.
The first audio instalment of Another Pastoral has been made as part of New Creatives, a talent development scheme supported by Arts Council England and BBC Arts, delivered in the South West by Calling The Shots.
