Alistair makes playable stage shows, interactive livestreams and alternative controllers. His shows allow everyone in the audience to join in - whether they be taking part in games that get them running all over the auditorium, or sending secret messages from their phones to direct the action on stage.

His work includes The Incredible Playable Show, an interactive show where audiences are take to the stage and run around the auditorium with barcode scanners and inflatables, in order to play video games specially-designed for the theatre.

He also works with custom-made hardware, with projects like The Book Ritual - a game played using a real-world paper shredder modified with Arduino, to help players navigate their feelings around grief. On his Twitch channel he runs interactive livestreams where audiences direct him to paint, dance and write poetry.

His most recent work sees him perform as a clown, in interactive cabaret acts and in his new comedy show My Date With Pierce Brosnan, where audiences scan a QR code to provide voice lines for his co-star, a talking dummy of Pierce Brosnan.

Alistair believes that everybody is an artist. He is committed to using games and technology to create safe spaces where audiences can take creative risks. He believes everyone should leave his acts saying "it would have been different if I wasn't there."

In 2025 he was awarded the Bernie de Koven Big Fun Award by the IndieCade Games Festival in Los Angleles.
