Audiovisual Tinkerer and synth enthusiast! Ant is developing the concept of spatial musical instruments, to see how they add another dimension to performance and play. He aims to build experiences which help people to discover (and rediscover) their love for playing and creating music.

Ant is also fascinated by the experimentation stage of making music in 'pre-production' - a critical part of an artist's workflow. He's researching what tools might be built to help harness and capture this creativity, so that moments are captured.

Ant has experience in VFX, spatial computing, haptics design and creative software tools development. His PhD involved developing techniques for recovering sound from early grooved cylinder recordings.

In 2018 he co-founded We All Play Synth - which hosts 'electronic music open mic' nights across Bristol, giving live electronic music performers the opportunity play, experiment and collaborate.

A partner at 5of12, (a company formed by former Ultraleap developers). Ant uses his experience of hand tracking and haptics technologies to bring new ideas to life.
