I have been working professionally, both nationally and internationally, since 2000. In my creative practice I explore the often uncharted territory of dance and visual impairment and the aesthetics of choreography from a non-visual perspective.

I work with somatic and contemporary dance methods and techniques, exploring the subtleties of these practices and how they might be reimagined within the context of inclusive dance making and performance.

Alongside my dance work I provide creative audio description consultancy, and work as an educator, visiting lecturer and inclusive dance practitioner.

I am currently developing Half Light, a dance work using spoken word, poetic audio description and sensory choreography, drawing on my lived experience of visual impairment to inform the development of the work. It explores sensory perception and our relationship to the natural world during twilight, dusk and absolute night.
