Lucy is a transdiciplinary artist, writer and moving image maker. Her work has taken the form of sound installations, radio, performance, single screen and moving image.
Lucy's practice explores forms of relation - as humans, and as bodies that connect to more-than-human elements of the world. Frequently de-centering humans to better explore the fragile ecologies of human >< more-than-human relationships, she cultivates unconventional forms of collaboration and shared authorship with other artists, elders, experts and children.
Choreographic thinking underpins her practice which has taken place via socially engaged commissions as well as in galleries, museums, libraries, on water and in the air. She is also a curator for exhibited choreographies / choreographic exhibitions which explore movement across disciplines and
She's beginning her residency with research into the nervous systems of horses and what and how they might reveal about ways to take care of our own systems; exploring an interactive audio-visual approach.
