Dr Mena Fombo (hon) is a founder, a film director and facilitator. Her focus is developing greater human connections through storytelling on screen to facilitating purposeful spaces from retreats to team days and workshops.

Mena is the founder and managing director of Black Girl Convention and co founder of Blak Wave Productions.
Mena is also behind the powerful TEDx Talk No. You Cannot Touch My Hair which attracted contributions to the research study from around the world and watched by almost 900k viewers.
She is an executive coach, experienced mentor and Diversity and Inclusion consultant delivering to clients across the USA, Europe and Asia.
She is an International ambassador for the City of Bristol, holds an honorary doctorate for work in Equalities from the University of the West of England and a is voting member of BAFTA (British Academy Film and Television Awards).
She has featured on the BME powerlist, was a nominee for the West Women's award and Techspark Sparkies award and she was a Bristol247’ woman of the year!
