Oliver Sutherland (b. 1985 Cornwall, UK)

Oliver Sutherland is a Bristol based visual artist whose practice examines the languages of digital production, using broken narratives  to explore our relationship with technology, particularly the boundaries between the user and device. This often results in sound and moving image works that are situated between virtual and physical spaces. He has previously worked with Falmouth University, Centroid Motion Capture Studios, focusing on the physical and performative properties of live simulation technologies.

Oliver is currently the artist in residence at Hestercombe Gardens in north Somerset and was previously an associate artist as part of the Tate St Ives Artists Programme 2015.
