For this Lunchtime Talk, Studio Resident and South West Creative Technology Immersion Fellow, Vincent Baidoo talks us through his recent personal programming journey that ended with him accidentally becoming a Think Tank creator.
Following on from his last talk, Virtual Marginalisation: The Black Immersive Experience which explored the landscape of technology from the perspective of a possible future and considered the marginalisation that Black people face with old media, and how that marginalisation continues today within social media and what this might mean for the positive or negative potential of the fully immersed, equal Virtual Space.
Vincent will use this talk to update us on his recent personal projects (chat bots, social info gathering bots, gaming bot's, AI neural networks, Blockchain contracts, Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking, Console Game development, VR experiences, Haptic experiences, Holographic experiences, and CGI Motion capture) and the continuation of his programming and research journeys. He will also discuss his collaborative projects with the South West Creative Technology Network, BBC, Arts Council England, Research England and the University of Bristol, ending with the future aims of continued involvement of Black people within all areas of technology.
